Kaiser Permanente — Director, User Experience
Lead the rollout of the redesigned experience for prospective customers and 12 million Kaiser members for both responsive web (kp.org) and iOS and Android apps.
New experience increased key member transactions 8 - 20%; online bill payments increased by 54%.
Started with a team of 11 designers and have scaled it to a 75 person, distributed, and multi-functional team including designers, writers, design ops, and managers. Implemented new organizational structure, processes, and roles/responsibilities.
2013 - 2015
Reso — Head of Design
Built from the ground up a consumer marketplace and booking platform - connecting families to local business and activities. Also developed a scheduling and inventory management application to allow small businesses to list and book their activities on the Reso platform. Led the design and brand identity efforts.
2012 - 2013
Playnomics — Head of Design
Built a marketing platform and data analytics tool for game developers to increase player engagement. By the time of acquisition, the company had grown to servicing 100+ game developers with over 200 million player profiles. Led the design and brand identity efforts.

Sulia — VP, User Experience
Hired to lead the redesign for this social media startup that aggregated news and content around topical interest channels. Grew from 500,000 to 10 million monthly unique visitors post relaunch.

As Head of the UX department, I managed and mentored the internal UX team of 15 designers and maintained a 10+ freelance bench.
Clients included Home Depot, Century 21, Chase Bank, Nikon, ExxonMobil, and GoArmy.com. Design lead for all new business pitches.

Lift — Principal, UX + Strategy
Helped companies understand and design for their clients and potential customers through brand strategy, user experience definition, and product marketing.
Clients included The Economist, Gilt, Hotels.com, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and ETS.org.
2005 - 2008
Revolution Health — Head of Design
Led the design at a health start-up founded by Steve Case. Established the brand and identity for the new service. Created a complex portal site that included web apps for health, 3rd party content providers, and a health plan shopping tool. Launched in 2006, Revolution grew to 15 million monthly unique visitors by 2007. Successfully acquired in 2008.
Built a 30 person multi-disciplinary team (UX, research, content strategy, writers, photo editors) in a year and a half. Created in-house UX Research team to help the company understand and address specific customer needs in the healthcare space. In parallel worked with Product and Engineering heads to establish end-to-end agile process as our startup grew to 300+ employees.

AOL — Principal UI Designer, Product Prototyping
Hired to lead an innovation team to design AOL’s next gen suite of desktop applications: AIM Messenger, Mail, Browser, Calendar, Photo, and Media player with integrated Media Store. Launched in 2005 to AOL’s 25 million subscribers.
